The hike starts at the Berggasthaus Pederü mountain inn (with a bus stop and parking facilities), from where you start by bearing left and then ascending very steeply along the winding military trail. There are several opportunities to shorten the ascent by cutting corners as you proceed along the trail. You quickly gain elevation, and the terrain becomes flatter. When the trail forks, it is recommended to bear left towards the Sennes hut, creating a circular tour. (Alternatively, you can continue straight to the alpine village of Fodara Vedla.) The trail initially ascends over steps before it continues along a wide hiking path which wends its way through the Sennes area, passing through larch groves and woodland. As you gain in altitude, the trees thin out, and the panoramic views become increasingly impressive. Those who wish to extend the hike can continue from the Sennes hut to the small or large Col de Lasta peak (+ approx. 5 km and 200 meters of increased elevation). At the fork in the trail, follow the signs to the right towards Fodara Vedla. The narrow trail leads over tree roots and rocks to the idyllically located alpine village. To return to the car park, start by following the forest road, which ascends again until it joins the military road you walked up at the start of the route.
