The hike starts in Oberwielenbach, where there are various route options. One possibility is to start on the Earth Pyramids trail and continue along the forest path to the Gönneralm. Alternatively, from the first car park in Wielental, you can walk with a gentle incline up to the Lercheralm. At the Alm, the trail leads steeply up the sloping meadow, crossing the hiking path between the two peaks of Hochnall and Rammelstein. From there, bear left along the ridge to reach Rammelstein.
For your return journey, you can descend via the Gönneralm and make your way back to the car park along the wide hiking path and narrow forest trails.
