The hike starts at the end of the Silvester Valley. It is possible to park at the “Bodeneck” near Innichen. A mountain road leads here, which turns into a forest road from the Lachwiesenalm. The hike starts on a wide gravel path, heading towards the Silvesteralm hut. After this meadow, the path becomes steeper and passes by the Steinbergalm. Soon, the wide path turns into a hiking trail. The trail ascends through alpine meadows. You can see the summit in the distance as you walk pass some small tarns. Just below the summit, you pass the Markinkele hut. The beautiful summit cross awaits you at the top, accompanied by a stunning 360° panoramic view. The descent follows the same route as the ascent, or can be completed via the “Strickberg”, which is visible to the south.
