The hike starts at the Pederü mountain inn (with a bus stop and parking facilities) and initially follows a steep forest road into the valley towards Fanes. You quickly gain in altitude and continue along the forest road until you reach the Lavarella hut. From there, the route bears right, leading up the southern slope of Antoniusspitze. The path starts out flat but gradually becomes steeper, following a narrow trail and scree gully upwards. On reaching the Antonius Joch, you are rewarded with an initial view of the other side. From there, you follow the trail a little further to the right to reach the summit, which isn’t far away. The return follows the same route as the ascent.
Starting point: Gasthaus Pederü, St. Vigil (25 km from the hotel)
