Manuel Gietl
Born in 1983
Education:
After having studied ethnology in Innsbruck, Manuel has successfully completed a course to become a culture and hiking guide. He has been working for the Kronplatz-Resort Hotels for several years now.
Passions:
Manuel’s biggest passion is climbing. In his free time, he can usually be found in demanding rock climbing routes in the Dolomites. In winter, his touring and freeride skis are his favourite companions.
Katia Engl
Born in 1999
Education:
In 2019, Katia successfully completed her 5-year apprenticeship as a hotel clerk. For several years she worked in different areas (service & reception) at Lake Garda and in South Tyrol. Since 2022, she has completed various training courses (certified South Tyrolean hiking guide, Trail Running Guide, UIMLA International Mountain Leader) to make your hiking holiday even more unforgettable.
Passions:
Katia has a great passion for nature, taking photography and discovering new places around the globe. She wants to experience adventures in the mountains and most of all she loves to drive around in her blue and white Van "Katis Blue Flitzer" and enjoys life. katia.engl99 is her name on Instagram where you can see more about her.
Marcel Sosniok
Born in 2002
Education:
After graduating and completing various internships in agriculture and forestry, Marcel passionately managed a mountain hut in the Val di Casies. Now he is dedicated to the nature and environment of South Tyrol as our new outdoor guide.
Passions:
He is an enthusiastic climber & mountaineer. Whether on foot or on skis, he is always immersed in nature. He knows the Dolomites & their flora and fauna like the back of his hand and looks forward to showing them to you on wonderful hikes.
The Kronplatz Resort consists of the Hotel Kristall and the Berghotel Zirm. The 4-star hotels offer you a unique sports programme that is second to none.
Thanks to our active outdoor guides, you will certainly never be bored. Activities such as our exciting infinity tours, alpine hikes and summit hikes will accompany you throughout the week. The highlight of the holiday week is the sunrise hike.
Our youngest guests are particularly close to our hearts, and we have put together entertainment and leisure programmes tailored to their age and interests.
Of course, the Kronplatz Resort offers great leisure programmes for its guests in winter, too. You are welcome to explore the area together with our outdoor guide Manuel on a snowshoe hike, ski safaris or a winter hike with a sleigh ride.
