From the car park above Gasthaus Mudler (1,622 m), follow the forest road marked no. 31 in a westerly direction. After the first bend, take a steep, somewhat bumpy path on the left to get directly to the forest road leading higher up. Cross the road and follow the red and white markings and trail no. 31. This trail is characterised by its fantastic mountain panorama and very soon you can see the summit cross of the Lutterkopf (2145m). The rest of the tour covers open alpine pastures. Always following the ridge, after a longer hike you reach a fence with an opening that leads directly down to the Taistner Vorderalm (2012m, refreshments available). If you wish, continue hiking to tackle the ascent to the Durakopf (2275m). From the summit, the trail then descends eastwards to Klenkboden (2186m). If you haven't had enough yet, you can take a left with marker 54 A over grassy ground and a stony slope up into the ridge depression between Rudlhorn and Eisatz and again right over the short ridge without any problems to the summit cross (2448 m). The descent is safest via the described ascent path (or - for experienced hikers - also via the west ridge) to the Tesido hut.
