The starting point of the hike is the Plätzwiese parking lot at an elevation of 1,979 meters.

During the summer months, a shuttle bus brings you up from Brückele/Prags between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Before 9:30 AM, the road to Plätzwiese can also be accessed by private car for a toll fee, if parking spaces are available. (Important: Check the traffic restrictions in the Pragser Valley between July 10 and September 10.)

From Plätzwiese, the hike initially follows a forest road to the Plätzwiese hut. There, turn right and follow the signs across fields and forests. The trail first winds through the forest before becoming increasingly rocky, gaining elevation along the impressive rock faces of the Dolomites. After about two hours, the Geiselleiten panoramic trail leads to a short section secured by a rope. Although not particularly difficult, surefootedness and a head for heights are required. After approximately 2.5 hours, you reach the scenic Rossalm.

The descent follows a steep forest road before the final section of the hike leads through gentle terrain to the Brückele parking lot, where cars are parked or the shuttle bus departs.
