The hike starts in Oberwielenbach, where there are various route options. One possibility is to begin on the Earth Pyramids Trail and continue along the forest path to Gönner hut. Alternatively, from the first parking lot in Wielental, you can walk with a gentle incline up to the Lercher hut. At the hut, the trail leads steeply up the meadow slope, crossing the hiking path between the two peaks of Hochnall and Rammelstein. From there, continue left along the ridge to reach Rammelstein.

For the return journey, you can descend via the Gönner hut and then return to the parking lot along the wide hiking path and narrow forest trails.
