The hike starts at the end of the Silvestertal valley. You can park at "Bodeneck" near Innichen. A mountain road leads here, which turns into a forestry road from the Lachwiesen hut. The hike begins on a wide gravel path towards the Silvester hut. After the hut, the path becomes steeper and passes by the Steinberg hut. Soon, the wide path turns into a hiking trail. The trail takes you up through alpine meadows. Once you can see the summit in the distance, you'll pass by small lakes. Just below the summit, you will pass the Markinkele Hut. The beautiful summit cross awaits you at the top, accompanied by a stunning 360° panoramic view. The descent can be done via the same route or alternatively via the "Strickberg," visible to the south.
