The hike starts at the Runch parking lot in Abtei. First, follow a wide trail that gently and smoothly leads through the forest towards Stern/La Villa. Following the further signs, you will reach the hut via a path. The view of the Gadertal Dolomites is breathtaking. Those who want to extend the hike into a summit tour can continue along the high-altitude path to Col Plö Alt. Alternatively, the hike can be shortened by starting in the village of Stern.
