The hike begins at the Pederü mountain inn (with a bus stop and parking facilities) and initially follows a steep forest road into the valley toward Fanes. You quickly gain altitude and continue along the forest road until you reach the Lavarella Hut. From there, the route turns right, leading up the southern slope of Antoniusspitze. The path starts out flat but gradually becomes steeper, following a narrow trail and scree gully upwards. Upon reaching the Antonius Joch, you are rewarded with a first view of the other side. From here, you follow the trail a little further to the right to reach the summit, which is not far away. The descent follows the same route as the ascent.
